The YPFDJ organization in Europe held its 16th conference from April 14-18 in Rome under the theme “Pan-African Liberation and Deliberate Leadership”.
At the conference, which was attended by over 300 young people from Eritrea, Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia and Africa as well as representatives of Eritrean communities and national associations, Ambassador of Eritrea in Italy, Mr. Fesehatsion Petros and Mr. Michael Teferi, Head of the PFDJ in the Diaspora, hailing the role of the YPFDJ in national affairs, called for strengthening organizational capacity and unity for better results .
In his virtual message, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Policy Affairs Officer of PFDJ, explaining opportune indicatives and goals for conducting effective resilience programs, expressed hope that the YPFDJ conference will conduct in-depth discussions and come to an understanding community and tangible programs for the effective implementation of established programs.
Representatives of the organization from various countries also presented activity reports in terms of achievements recorded and challenges encountered.
During the conference, research papers were presented on Pan-African Liberation and the Role of YPFDJs, Diplomatic Activities in the African Union and the Role of YPFDJs, Understanding the Horn of Africa and Ensuring the peace, the fight against hegemonism and defamation, the role of generations in nation-building as well as the heritage of ancient Adulis and Eritrea.
The participants held in-depth discussions and adopted various recommendations and resolutions.
The occasion was marked with cultural programs illustrating the historic resilience of the Eritrean people.
